Thread breaking is something both beginners and Experts face from time to time while sewing. There could be several reasons why the upper thread keeps breaking.
REASON 1:
* The upper thread could be installed incorrectly.
Remedy:- Rethread the machine according to the instructions in the manual. ( Check your Sewing machine Manual)
REASON 2:
* The upper thread tension could be set too tight.
Remedy :- Set the tension to the basic thread tension setting or less.
The spool of thread may not be installed correctly using the correct size spool cap for the size of spool.
REASON 3: Combination of needle size, thread size, and fabric is incorrect.
Remedy:- sure to use the correct needle and thread size for the fabric you are sewing. (Example: Denim size 16 needle and 40-50heavy-duty threads).
